Dave
left Peat Marwick & Co., CPAs in Boston, Massachusetts
to join Phillip W. Hodgdon, CPA in 1972. After receiving
his B.A. degree from Colby in 1967, Dave spent two years
in the Army, which included a tour of duty in Vietnam.
Following his honorable discharge, he enrolled in the
MBA program at Boston University.
Professional
organizations that Dave belongs to include the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New Hampshire
Society of CPAs and the New Hampshire Estate Planning
Council.
Civic
organizations Dave has been involved with past and present
include the Dover Community Foundation, for which he
was treasurer from 1975 to 1982, Dover Industrial Development
Corporation, Richard D. McDonough Golf Scholarship Foundation,
for which he's currently treasurer and Dover Rotary
Club, which he was treasurer from 1983 to 1998. He was
also an assistant coach for the University of New Hampshire
golf team from 1994 to 1996.
Dave
concentrates his professional practice primarily in
corporate and individual tax planning and preparation,
business transition, estate work and retirement planning.
On
a personal note, he and his wife Marcia have two grown
children and one grandson. Dave's an avid golfer and
enjoys skiing prior to the start of a hectic tax season.
